It is completely free to submit -- just fill out the submission form with your information and upload your writing pieces. Submissions have closed for this year, but be sure to sign up for our emailing list so you don't miss next year's contest!

You'll hear back shortly about judging, then, once judging is complete after a few weeks, we will announce results and every submission will receive their peer feedback. Due to the student-judged nature of our competition, we can't provide exact dates, but we will continuously update entrants!

Once the submission deadline passes and judges are assigned, you will receive an email with a) the judging rubric, b) a short video explanation, c) the short form to submit your scores and feedback, and d) the anonymized pieces that you are assigned to judge. Then, you'll have sufficient time to read through and score the submissions (two for each piece you submitted).

Every single submission will get peer feedback! Top winners in poetry and prose will receive prize money via gift cards donated by SuzeeBehindTheScences. The top 10 in each category will be published in our anthology, which will be digitally distributed and also available for purchase -- and, we will try to send a copy of the anthology to your house if you are included in it!
